Hi All;
Looking at a 6.6L Turbo in a 1991 Ford 700B, Allison MT643- can anyone tell me the hp on this engine? and with this Transmission how would it do on the highway - will be pulling a 30' travel trailer (1988) 6,400 lbs. has 148,000 mi.

I have not run across many of those basically a school bus engine. 170-180 horse class I believe emission standards killed that diesel. The MT643 is a solid medium duty Allison usually found in school buses 6 wheel dumps straight trucks etc. A good 4 spd auto.
