Hauling question.

I have a lifted '75 f100 with a built 390. I need to pick up 2 engines, a 400 and 460. Will the weight of these two engines be too much to haul in the bed? Ive never done any hauling\towing, I just want to be sure it will be safe. My truck has air bags front and rear, the truck was built for towing.

Thanks.

Absolutely not! In fact, that combined weight should make it ride nice and smooth, assuming you have the engines secured in the bed.

The combined weight shouldn't be more than 1000lbs. If you put them in front of the rear axle, they will ride great. If they are placed behind the rear axle your truck will sway while driving at highway speeds. One in front of the axle and one on top or a little behind the axle should be fine too.
