Ok, I feel stupid asking this question but, what is the auxiliary button on my radio for? Obviously to attach another device but, where do you attach it to? Is there a plug on the back of the radio? Do you have to remove the radio to get to it? Anybody?
Have fun getting thr radio out though.......I removed my in a hour flat just because my CD's were jamming up inside. I have the 6 disc changer in the dash that came stock. You should take a metal clothes hanger, cut the bottom corners free so they make a "U" formation. Then you need to stick both of them in at the same time into the holes provided and push outwards. It'll take awhile to get the hang of it. But once it is out you'll see what I mean.
I figured out how to remove the front dash cover last night looking for the MP3 player plug. If you order the dual fuel tanks, the tank selector switch replaces the MP3 player plug in. There is a connector behind the panel which I think it the one that normally goes through the dash. I am checking with parts on the connector that has the MP3 connection on it so I can relocate. While off I was looking at the Nav package and pulled it out to see the rear. It is a Pioneer unit (AVIC-XD11072F02). I emailed Pioneer last night trying to find out if I can hook up an external input (like backup camera) through the GPS LCD. Don't know if anyone has messed with this new unit being so new to the SD. By the way, no u shaped locks on unit, just 4 bolts and a wedged shape key slide holds it in...

He's got an '06, you have to remove the dash panel to remove radio. Four (4) bolts hold radio in.
The '03 / '04 radios with the 4 holes in the front take under 10 seconds to pull the radio out of the dash and disconnect the wires from the back, provided you purchase the u shaped puller tools, wich are available at parts stores. If you choose to go cheap and use a cut up hangar it may take you slightly longer. The trick is to stick them in but not to deep and pry out slightly (if I remember correctly) on them and the radio will slide right out. On the '05 and up you need to pull the dash cover off and remove the 4 bolts, as said earlier. Between disconnecting all the plugs, manuvering the dash cover out of the way and pulling the 4 bolts, this will take you a little time. If your radio has an Aux button on it, you will have a connector on the back but I believe only specific equipment ie: Ford CD changer, or Ford factory DVD system will plug right in. Unless you buy from an aftermarket manufacturer who makes vehicle specific equipment. It is not a standard A/V or RCA type plug. I put a P.I.E. unit in my '06 to connect up my Sirius radio direct to the radio for better sound and I had to get the one for my specific vehicle to make it work.
