Angry tailight terminal headlight switch burnout

Anybody with a good cure for the pain in the _ss problem of the taillight circuit terminal burning out of the wire harness going to the head light switch! If you get a harness repair kit from Ford the wire to replace the burned one is larger in gauge that's fine but the rest of the truck is still small gauge!

Don't know what to tell you ? After I replaced the plug I had no problems with mine. 15 personal trucks and 30 + company Fords I only had to fix it 2 trucks I'll check with my Ford guy and see what he says.

As long as the problem is fixed, you shouldn't have any problems with the other smaller wire in the truck

I had the same problem with my 94. After I replaced the harness, I replaced all the bulbs on the truck I could with LED to cut down the power draw. I am also planning on setting up a relay for the running lights on my trailer connection so the added load is ran thru the relay rather than the truck's wiring system.
You probably don't have to take these measures, but they are just options if you continue to have problems.
