Remote Mounted Oil Filter
Have any of you installed an aftermarket remote mount oil filter kit? I was thinking of doing this on my '02 F150 4x4 5.4L and was looking for any ideas for mounting location or any problems someone may have had.

I would think they could be put where the stock ones are in the '97 and '98's but you'd have to buy a good 6' of hose, the one downfall to the setup. It is right behind the bumper kind of under the D. side headlight.
You could also always just stick it onto the frame rail behind the engine somewhere.

mine is right in front of my D side tire, makes for a very easy change and i have had no problems at all, one bad thing is it stands out being a different color so i paint it black to avoid and a-holes from just coming along and removing it just to get a laugh
