OK, so this may be a stupid question, but I have a reg cab and when I need to get behind the seat I have to push the seat back adjustment lever to flip the seatback forward. When I am done, it doesn't "remember" the seat placement and it is a pain to have to readjust the seat every time. I have a '99 Reg Cab and there is a lever on the back of the seat that you push and it remembers your setting. Does anyone know of this feature for the newer trucks? I can't find it in the owner's manual if there is one.
i have a reg cab also, i know what your saying although i never thought of it as a pain.my body seems to remember right where it should be adjusted to when i climb in.you are correct in assuming they left the memory feature out in this case.im 6'1'' so i have to open the wing door plus fold and or slide my seat forward to use that space,my seat is slid all the way back when i drive so that adjustment is not hard to remember.i am truly glad my seat back tilts my old truck had a bench seat.
Not sure I see the similarities, BillC. Hitting a button twice and readjusting the seat position are two very different things. It always seems like I am driving down the road after I adjusted it and it feels wrong and I keep having to readjust it to get it where it's comfortable only to have to reset it again after I need to get behind the seat. I guess I don't see why Ford can put it on the older trucks and not on the newer ones.
