Head gasket
My 2006 F350 6.0 dually had an oil leak. (Very minor, 2 spots about the size of quarters.). I took it in to the dealer and they said I have a blown head gasket. As it only has 22,000 miles on it they are repairing it under warranty. Has anyone else experienced a similar problem with such low mileage? Also, any ideas as to what may have caused it to go?

Also, even though the dealer said head gasket, he may have meant valve cover gasket? I didn't see any indications of any other fluid in the spills other than crankcase oil. I'll find out tomorrow when I pick it up.
My sense was that it was not usual for something like this to happen so soon. It is a stock truck with no mods.

yup at Internationals expense...perhaps thats why there in court because ford is parts happy and if they have to send the failed parts back to the manufacture like we do and they find them to be good..........problems happen...
