4.0 L Suzuki

I have a 1987 Suzuki Samurai that I want to put a 4.0L w/ AT into. I have both the engine and trans and am in the exploration stage of this project now. It will not have power steering or AC. My question is what am I going to need in the way of wiring for this swap? How much of the original harness will I need? Is there any place that will build a custom harness for this project? Any help you can give is appriciated. Thanks

You should call Painless wiring and see what they have to offer. I would check on the Samurai forums, I know nothing about these little trucks....

Sounds interesting! It's good to see someone using a Ford powertrain for such an application instead of the typical 4.3L Chevy. The 4.0L Ford V6 is a compact moderately powerful little engine. I think you'll like it.

If it were me, I'd adapt a stock harness. Use your head about what is needed or not. Obviously anything hooked to the motor and transmission...
