DP Tuner/Chip

I am thinking about the DP chip for my 99.5 P/S. The only thing is I dont know much about perormance mods for diesels.

Is it worth having one for just pulling a 12k fiver?.
Will it help with the MPG, if I'm a conservative diver?
Can I run one without all the other changes, exhaust, etc.

As it is now my truck is completely stock, only changed things are, No water in the cooling system, banks Trans comand, Baldwin open air. Thats it. I'm just alittle apprehensive and need your guys advise, Thanks Joe.

I would suggest gauges exhaust and a BTS Valve body and im sure everyone else would. As far as mpg in the 80 econo tune ive seen a little increase but i dont drive to conservative cause i just got the chip. As far as towing dont know someone else will have to help you there. And give it time your truck wont be stock for long especially you stay wround here for any ammount of time.

Exhaust temps can spike very very fast with a stock intake and exhaust so it it advisable to start with gauges, intake, exhaust, and then do a chip.
