i have a 99 f150 4x4 5.4 gas with right around 125000 miles and the other day i was reading a spec sheet that said it only has around 200 hp but the later years like 03 and up had 300 hp with the same motor soo.. my question is if i got my comp reflashed would that retune every thing and bump up my hp or wut? power is everything around the hillbillys of family members i have>
Welcome to FTE,
No , you can not just have it reflashed to get that extra HP.
In 04 they came out with the 300 HP rating. It's a little different from your 99.
However you could mod your 99 and get close to 300. It all depends on how much money your willing to spend.
For about $3500 to $4000. you could do a Lightning conversion on it and make over 350 HP.
Or you could go with mods like electric fan /open exhaust/ K&N intake or other and tuner or programmer. All of this will get you close to 300 HP.
did you check the spec sheets on this site?
my 2001 makes more than that and it's the same 2valve like yours....
then again, i now have a dual exhaust, CAI and Power Programmer...for a few ponies.
