hole in bed

I recently put my 5"exhaust stacks and now im just curious since the metal in my bed is exposed where i cut the hole should i be concerned about it rusting away with time and if so what should i put on there to ensure no rusting

Well i had mine on for 6 months, i just took everything back off and there was no evidence of rust anywhere around the hole.

so you never put anything around it at all.... and im just cautious cuz of the salt on the roads that it might eat it up a little

Nope, and i live in michigan so if it was gonna rust it would have. If you wanted to be safe, you could put rubberized undercoating around it, if it doesnt melt or just spray some paint on it.
