Any shock absorber recommendations? Since I have my bed wood removed (hallelujah!), thought I'd knock out a couple of small projects while I have easy access.
Stock truck with I-6 and 3 o-t-t, in case that matters.
I just did the front end on my 56 and went with Doetsch-Tech shocks. Haven't driven it yet, but they are a very good brand. If you go to their website you might not find your year in their pull down menus, but with most companys you wont. You'll just have to give them a call with your ride height and they should have something for you. My front is lowered about 2-3 inches so you will need a different length than mine. KYB is also very good as are monroe as mentioned above.
Good brands: Koni, Bilstein, QA1. No they won't have the old trucks listed by application, so measure the installed length (from mounting point to mounting point at ride height)) type of mount (ring eye, pin, etc.) minimum compressed length (installed length - upward suspension travel limit) type driving and load carrying capacity and give their tech services people a call.
