need help

i was wondering if on the front of the cam where the bolt hole is with small hole next to it if there is supposed to be a dowel pin or something in there. it has been too long for me to remember. and my new cam has nothing in the little hole and i dont have the old cam i scrapped it casue it was hmmered. thanks fellas.

Ya a dowel pin does belong in there. Then you install your eccentric over that and then the center bolt w/ loctite. Make sure threads on the bolt and hole are free of oil.

That's where the dowel goes. It locates the cam sprocket in relation to the cam.

ya well thanks fellas i thought that i needed one but wasnt sure. so i guess i will have to dig one up at the shop. ahhh the little snags tend to frustrate you a little. anyways thanks alot
