Dad retired there out of the Air Force. I've lived at LRAFB and in the Searcy-McRae area. Nice place. Sometimes the horse's butts outnumbered the horses (mainly in McRae) but I had a good time in Searcy. Would probably still be living there if I could find a job that paid. (And if I could stand that damn humidity.)

Born in Hot Springs (a loooooong time ago), lived there till early teens. I grew up around the trees, mountains, lakes, ect. and took them for granted - never realized how beautiful they were till I moved away. I still own some property there but don't get there often.

My husbands family is in Arkansas (Booneville, near Ft Smith) we went back there for a reunion and it was great fun. We have been thinking about going back after he retires from the Navy, but who knows? It is still a little ways off...

Arkansas?

[updated:LAST EDITED ON 09-Dec-02 AT 01:03 AM (EST)]I got drunk at a strip club in Fayetteville and stole a flag off a law office downtown, then proceeded to wave it back and forth while screaming the national anthem. When I got to the bar, I broke the stick off the flag and draped it over my shoulders like Rocky and went inside. I can't believe they let me in! If a cop would have seen me I would have been arrested...
I was in AR for 4 days and I had a great time. The women were almost too friendly, the beer flowed and the scenery was cool. I would go back if I got the chance. Not at all what I expected...:7

Oh, and I still have the flag. It's in my front bedroom window.
