AOD Kickdown cable

I have a 84 Bronco w/351. I justdropped it a little while ago, and i have been driving it without the kickdown hooked up. I went out today(day off) and got under it to see if it was hooked up on something but it isn't. I put a Torker II intake on it. Could this have anythnig to do with it. Maybe moving the carb a little forward or something. I also have a holley 600 dp. Any help is appreciated.

John

AOD Kickdown cable

If your sure you have an AOD then it is not a kick down cable (C-6 and C-4 have a kick down) it is what controls the Over-Drive and it has to be set precisely. Chilton and Haynes have the correct way to adjust this. With the after market stuff you have you need to go to a speed shop or go online to get the right brackets for the carb and manifold. If you want to keep the AOD working and not burn it up you need to do this and adjust it correctly. Hope this helps and Good Luck,
