Tire choices ready to scream or trade.. vibrations

I think you are talking about the Pilot LTX they do look nice but I was hoping to get something with just a little more agressive tread for excellent snow traction here in New England but the Pilot LTX might work also Im gonna check out tire dealers in my area tomorrow to see the tread pattern in person

I too have the BFG's, but no vibrations. Mine are cracking very badly, and the dealer is supposedly going to tell me tomorrow what they are going to do. I imagine that I will be getting 4 new ones, as BFG probably won't honor their warranty to allow me to get another brand. I too want the Michelin's, but as you stated, they make them in our size yet. I guess if they are going to give me 4 new tires, I'll take what I can get. I hope that the new ones don't give me a vibration that I don't have now.

Dont jump to conclusions yet. Ask them if cracking tires are a safety concern and ask them to put it in writing if they say they arent..my dealer has put me off in the past and I never pursued them then nothing ever happens but this time they will fix this truck that they engineered and built! Ball joints, steering pump, constant steering wheel shimmy and now a junk tranny, and since my last oil change a knock (not tapping)in the lower part of the engine..not good on a truck that I take extra good care of and has neve towed or had more than two passengers and never a load in the bed.

I have the Dueler Revos on the '03 Expy. Same front suspension as our trucks. Outstanding ride and traction, wet or dry. Very smoth and quiet. Each tire took only 3/4 of an ounce to balance. No noticable wear after 11k miles. Much nicer ride than the LTX/MS tires that they replaced. Since they don't make 20" Revos I'm looking for a set of 17" or 18" wheels just so I can get some for my truck.

I can vouch for the revo's. I work at a tires plus, and a 31x10.5 R15 Bridgstone Dueller Revo will balance up WAAAYYYY better than most car tires. Usually not more than 2 oz per wheel (1oz per side of the rim). They are a little bit softer rubber than the regular Dueller A/t's so on a big truck like a F350 or Excursion that hauls alot of stuff they tend to wear out faster. Usually they will have a mileage warrenty on them though. When you get your tires mounted ask if you can go back and watch. That way you can watch the person doing it to make sure they dont cut corners and you can also watch your rims spin on the balancer to see if any are bent or any tires are out of round.
And on edit, never put Pirelli tires on a truck. They may be good for a sports car and what not, but they suck really bad on a big truck. We had a set on a F350 and they wore out really really fast.
Also If availible you can get a load C tire, which will have a 6 ply sidewall for more hauling capacity, otherwise the standard 4 ply will offer a better ride.

dueller revo's all the way. love mine. great traction wet, snow, mud, ect, and really quiet on the highway. as far as a shimmy, assuming all is alighned, if you have any issue that causes a tire to wear bad (front end problems, balance issues, ect) a once good tire can become out of round. its junk once that happens especially if the tire is old and hard. I had a set of michelins do this to me. that's the reason I personally don't like michelin. you get lots of miles but at the sacrifice of traction (hard compound rubber) . I've owned both and the revo's vs michelin ltx there is no competition.
