idles rough and surges
99 explorer idles rough in park when put in rev or drive idle revs up to 2000-3000rpms and takes abouy 30-90 seconds to idle down when put back in park or nutrel revs back up changed iac checked codes none checked tps vacume hoses sprayed upper and lower intake with no help any clues all info appreciated notice engine was changed out changed all sensors and drove to relearn adapts engine is 4.0ohv

My 98 4.0 sohc was doing that, a wiggle of the TPS connector ended it. So I took the plug off, cleaned it, dielectric greased it and it's never done it again. I'm thinking I was a little on the lucky side here.
