Thats cause the courier is a mazda, we don't have a probe section either ha ha, just kidding. We do get courier questions from time to time, so it's good to have a resource.
I know that an import truck having a Ford engine in it doesn't make it a Ford any more than sitting in a garage makes you a car...but this website's members tar and feather any Courier owners asking questions in the threads I've been a part of.
An external resource is required in this case IMO. The Courier Collector website is gathering some knowledgeable members and is fast becoming a great resource for us. If you have anybody who is looking for info on these great little trucks, send 'em on over. Much appreciated.
The Ford Courier is more a Ford than a Dodge D-50 was a Dodge. At least some of them came with Ford engines, the D-50 was all Mitsubishi except for the Dodge nameplate. And it is interesting that some Rangers have Mazda transmissions, but they are not excluded from the Ford site.
Of course I realize it is different to be a Ford truck with Mazda parts rather than a Mazda truck with Ford parts, but still, I think they should have their own forum. JMHO
Of course the best "Ford" does not have a forum here either, and that is truly a shame in my book. I am speaking of the "Ford" Pantera. Ford engine and sold in Lincoln Mercury dealerships. I was in high school when I saw one at a dealership and have been drooling over them ever since.
Yeah the GT 40 is an awesome car, and it is cool to see Ford building it. However, even though it would most likely kick the Pantera's bottom on any racetrack I am still partial to the Pantera. I love the styling.
