surging idle cause

surging idle cause

Can a surging idle be caused by a leaking injector? When I pulled plugs for a tune up, the #1 plug was damp with fuel and reeked of gas, yet none of the others were, so I am suspecting leaking injector...Would this cause a surging idle? or just a continuous high(er) idle?

someones gotta know this, does a leaking injector cause a continuous high idle, or a surge?

Is it possible to switch injectors then see if the plug stays dry?

not really, its a PITA to take off the fuel rail, if I did that, I'd just replace it. But another thing I noticed about the idle......Sometimes it surges and sometimes it stays smooth, so is this a bad IAC? It is clean, so would this make it bad?
