E4OD Trans Interceptor???

E4OD Trans Interceptor???
Anybody out there tried one of those trans interceptor things for the E4OD? I have seen them advertised for a couple of years and was wondering if anybody had any experience with them positive or negative. They are supposed to boost line pressure around 10PSI thus causing firmer and less destructive shifts. Thought it might help get a few more years out of my Old 94. I know that was a bad year for that trans but I have had absolutly no problems with mine after 103,000mi and would like to keep it that way. I have gathered from other posts on this forum that pre 95 trucks with this trans had problems because ford tried to make it super smooth shifting by lowering the pressure among other things. If this is supposed to help $80.00 doesn't seem too bad if they do what they claim.

I installed a b&m shift improver kit in my 92 just a couple weeks ago. Kit was only $35, took a couple hours to install and made a world of difference in the way it shifts. I'm not sure about the interceptors, but I've been very happy with the shift kit.

What all was involved in installing your shift kit? I have never done more than change the fluid/filter in an automatic. I would assume the valve body needs to come out and such, did you change selenoids or were there just hopped up springs to increase shift pressure? I would definately be interested in any options, I just want to firm things up to make the trans last longer.
