1986 302efi at around 1200rpm i get a slight stumble.
did a full tune up plugs wires, rotor,cap o2senor,fuel filter
no help.pulled codes get code 31 changed egr valve evp sensor and checked wiring no help still get code 31changed ecm still get code 31 can code 31 cause a stumble or is it something else.need help thanks mike

 

Could it be your coil, i had a stumble at around 2500, and i replaced the coil. Which fixed the problem?

 

replaced coil and dist.no help going to try fuel reg next

 

I wonder if you might have clogged injector?

 

I'm just throwing out ideas, here, for other items you may want to check, but I'm unsure as to whether they'd trigger the code 31: MAP sensor, throttle position sensor, TFI ignition module.....

 

i changed map sensor and tfi module checked fuel press within limits.i am going to make up a longer hose and check while i drive. i also checked tps sensor it checks good but problem does not happen all the time.

 

change the tps sensor no help still stumbles around 1200 and i still have code 31 need help

I just replaced my TFI Module recently and shortly after I started to experience the same problem at about 1500 RPM. It almost seems like the tranny can't decide to upshift or not. Maybe it's slipping. Still trying to figure it out.

 

if i put it in drive and hold on brake at around 1200rpm it starts to stumble going to have injectors cleaned.
