2008 you got way to go.Copper is a reallyunique and desirable color..
I would not mod that truck at all just yet.
I don't think anyone has modded an 08 on here yet so i'd just wait awhile and make sure that others have had great sucess with there 08 mods.
Oh did you get the 6.4 I just assume so?
long bed. shorties are worthless if you plan on using your truck
If you need an example why your statement is inaccurate I'll give you one.
I use my 6 3/4' bed truck to tow boats. Many times I need all the maneuverability I can get. Cramped boat ramps, dealer lots, homes and storage ficilities to name a few. A LB would be a drawback for my needs.
Oh yeah, I also use my truck as a DD (Daily Driver). A 6 3/4' makes traffic and parking much easier to deal with.
Wow i never thought i would get beat up so bad for stating my experince with my short bed. I use my truck everyday from pulling small landscape trailers to hauling my gooseneck and grossing out at 23k. i never seem to have enough space in the bed. i would rather have the ride and space of a longer bed. I do have a extra deep toolbox in the front so i cant stash anything under it, so that also takes up space, but in that box i have chains, straps, hitches, chemicals, ect ect so the box is a must for me. so in the end shoties are worthless to me cause i do use my truck. so i dont guess my statement is worthless nor so dumb after all ...not to mention all the equipment that i have to keep in the bed as well.

I believe it to be a true statement. I USE my trucks. I could not get away with a short box. I'd have to leave some of my tools/materials at home.
well I have a short bed crew cab - and USE mine as well .. just because the bed is 1.25 feet longer doesn't make it able to "work" any more. I've towed trailers, tow my boat 2-3 days a week for tournaments traveling with it. I've had it loaded down with tools, welders, etc to work as well. Just because the bed isn't full of 8' sheets of plywood or paint or barbed wire doesn't mean it's working any less.
I've seen the debates here over Superduty or not .. gas vs. diesel, V10 vs. PSD .. and now short vs long box ? I swear some people here just HAVE to have a pissing contest of some kind !
I think your statement is "dumb" because you don't qualify for "you". It is a blanket statement, and as such is incorrect, or what some people are calling dumb. A short box will work, and in some cases better than a long box, but obviously not in your case. For the original poster, I would think the 8' box would be better, but for MANY people the 6.75' box "works" better.
It's as dumb as saying you carry too many tools, that if a person can't get the job done with a short box you're carrying too much cr*p in your bed. Obviously what works for you, works for you. A long box is better for you, but it doesn't mean people can't "work" with a short box.
For me, they could build the box's 10' long and I'd fill it up. It'd be one less truck I'd have to drive to the jobsite! Saving me thousands of dollars in fuel a year.
J/K
I've thought about custom longer beds. They are spendy, and having employee's driving them would prolly be a nightmare of dents/damage to it, and other peeps property/vehicles. I've also tried trailers. But allmost all of my work is in tight quarters. Either in the City alley's, or in long rural driveways. After 3 of us stood there watching a guy take 20 minutes to back a trailer up 600' driveway, I parked the trailer behind my building. It only gets used if I have a LOT of materials to haul to a jobsite that is accessible.
I guess we are all in different situations. But for me, a short bed is "Dumb"
