I just replaced the window motor on the passenger side of my 89 Bronco. I used a rebuilt motor from a Ford Dealer. I have done the driver's side before without any problems so I did not think I would run into any this time.
When I was done with my project I tested it with the passenger side controls and when I push th up button the window goes down. When I push the down button the window goes up. They same thing happens with the passenger window control on the driver's side. This did not happen before I replaced the motor. Why could this be happening? Is there something easy I missed or did they possibly rebuild the motor wrong.
The electrical connection only goes one way so I know I hooked it up correctly. I will probably cut and switch the wires. I hate to take the panel off again.
Don't cut the wires! The plastic plugs have little plastic pins on the inside that when you depress them - the wire connector on the end of the individual wires then slides out, switch them around and slide them back in. It'll click once its in far enough.
