If you like Bilsteins, the 7100 is a good intro to rebuildable shocks. They are available in both reservoir, and non reservoir units.
Do you like the look of the 7100, or is there something specific about it that you prefer?
Depending on the internal rings you select around the piston, you may be re-building these often. Much will depend on how hard you use them. The nickel finish does get tarnished easily, and is not a very pretty shock after a short time.
All in all, they work fairly well, and re-build parts are cheap, and easy to do if you have access to nitrogen.
If you are looking for cosmetics, or going after the bling factor, there are several others that serve this purpose a little better than the Bilstein. If you are looking for all out performance, consider the 9100, or a completly different manufacturer.
