The 5.4 is basically a stroked 4.6
I don't no if they make a kit to take it any further.
You could get this motor from Ford it's an OE Lightning motor.for about $5000.
This one is the built version with all forged parts! http://www.lightningforceperformance.com/lfp-bullet-proof-54l-forged-long-block-assembly-p-625.html
Drop one of them in there and be done with it.
You could get 400 to 500 HP or more out of it!
Stroker is the not the answer with the 5.4, what kills this motor is the lack of torque. Yes a longer rod motor will have more torque at the same horsepower level but the best money spend would be on an eaton conversion from a mustang cobra or f150 lightning. Or the aftermarket world, I belive the KB kit non intercooled is around 5 bills and the powor gain is insane in the low end.
Only downside to that is longevity. These motors with hyperurtectic pistons and stamped powder rods were never made for boost. Even the Lightning motor isn't made that stout believe it or not.
A lot of guys running 400 to 450 HP on the stock rods but yes they are the weak point.
Only diff between a stock 5.4 and a Lightning 5.4 is the L has a little lower compression and forged pistons.
You could run as much power as you want with this baby! http://www.lightningforceperformance.com/lfp-bullet-proof-54l-forged-long-block-assembly-p-625.html
Or just start with a built short block and go from there.
That's what I did.
yes there is a company that makes a longer stroke kit for the 5.4 4V - it makes it a 5.8 liter. I personnaly dont like the idea of increasing the stroke any more than it already is on a 5.4.
For about the same price you can buy a new Kenne Bell blower kit, mades specifically for the Navi. This will get you about +100 HP and about +80 ft*lb. The navi kit is non-intercooled and is low boost (about 5 psi). It would be awesome on a truck!
