Ok I have a 200 F150 with about 34000km. I have had the truck in for brake service twice once for warped rotors and now again for padsd and rotors. Any one with info on fords servce for these parts or similar probs and solutions please respond to me.
Just got a 2000 4x4 and noticed on light brake application the truck lurches a bit when you come to a stop. Much like having drums that were out of round. I have not checked into the warantee but just figured that it would not be covered.
The reason for warped rotors could be that you may have overheated the brakes, e.g. by a trip to the mountains and logn downhill braking.
The other reason for warped rotors can be badly torqued wheels. At least unevenly torqued lugnuts can start a warp that can get worse e.g. in above mentioned scenario.
I have also seen rotors warp in serious braking action (to avoid accidents).
Normally you should not have to replace rotors, leave alone at the mileage you state. All I'd expect there would be pads. I have never owned a warranteed vehicle, so I have no clue if something like that is covered ounder warranty.
