That's why they use Nitrous Oxide (a.k.a. NOX or NO3) to get the benefits of injected oxygen without the fire danger....

There was that guy that put his own P/Stroke turbo on his IDI. It was a mess of pipes welded all over the top of the engine. I wish I still had a pic of it to post. Looked like it would be a fun one to replace the inj. pump on.
