Yesterday I was driving my '88 XLT Bronco 300/6 5speed and it start raining. I turned on my wipers and they worked for a few minutes but kept stopping and restarting. I pulled into a gas station to see if something was loose but the motor seemed dry and the connection to the motor was intact.
I then turned on the wipers and they wouldn't quit under the gas station carport so I pulled out and the wipers stopped and started again.
I then tried using the wiper fluid but when the motor stopped, so did the wiper fluid.
Is this a wiper motor problem or a loose wire somewhere? Anyone have this problem and how hard was it to fix? I've got rainx on the windshield now but that's no perminent fix and I'd rather be safe than sorry.
