Letting it sit....

I'm parking my F350...just gonna use it as a tow vehicle for my boat and drive my Jeep daily. I remember hearing that you aren't supposed to let diesels sit too long without running...anybody have any suggestions as to how often I should get it out and drive it? Once a week, once every two...? In the summer it probably won't be an issue as I'll be pulling the boat to the lake almost every weekend...but for now??? Oh yeah, it'll be inside in a heated garage.
Thanks.

Mine will sit for a month or so at times, and it is fine. Construction equipment will sit all winter without being touched, and is fine. I knowof many that have sat for a couple years and be fine... The truck I picked up for my dad sat for 2 years, and it acted stuck, then we pull started it, and it is fine, just had a bad starter.

If you let it sit for months - change the oil before use - to drain any water buildup in oil from humidity/condensation.
