Notice this morning that my truck has oil/fluid splattered from front to rear on the passenger side. It is very heavy in the wheel well areas. I have checked all fluids and don't notice anything in the engine compartment on that side that is leaking. Any Ideas? Also, my turbo is getting a lot of oil on it. Looks like spray from a hose or something that comes from the drivers side valve cover. Is that just replacing another o ring? HELP. I am getting one leak after another.
That sounds like it could be from your CCV ( crank case vent ) Does it come from the back side from a black rectangle with a 3/4" rubber elbow?
These trucks reroute the crank case vapors back into the intake and it makes a mess of the intake tubes. They get oily inside and then come loose making a mess.
Do a search for the CCV mod and you'll get a ton of info on it. If one of your CAC (charge air cooler) tubes is the culprit, you'll need to take them off and clean them up and reinstall them. This is a common maintainence item that needs attention.
Post back and be a little more specific if this isn't where the mess is coming from, and we'll get you steered in the right direction.
Sorry it has taken so long to respond. Correct me if I am wrong, but the ccv is on the drivers side. I am getting a lot of fluid/oil of some kind down the passenger side of my rig. This looks very similar to the amount of oil on my truck when the hpop let loose. Except that was all over my truck and leaking on the ground. This is just down the passenger side. The wheel wells are moist, but I haven't noticed anything on the ground. The brake fluid reservoir is full by the way.
