Hey guys my 97 f350 will barly make it out of the driveway when it is cold. I can have the pedal to the metal and it is lucky to reach 10 mph. Only happens if i do not plug it up or let it sit and warm up. Any ideas?
Hey foremanes, truck is fine when warm and only smoke when it has been sitting for a week or so. Will have to listen for turbo but have not noticed it.
amitchell when it is cold before you start it underneath your air intake just before your turbo you will find a wire plug there are wires running under your air intake behind your engine. Unplug this harness and see if the proble persists, if so you have an exhaust back pressure valve problem. I leave mine disconnected. Whatever the resolution is remember to post the answer so that others will know if it worked.
