I'm thinking about trading up to a 2007 model in July. I want to know how satisfied you have been with your 2007 f150 (screw fx4)? What should I consider when buying? How about some prices as well?
well, i just got mine last friday...i had a 01 Regular cab 5 speed 4.6 L that i really liked....i did a lot of work to it....(Pics in my gallery) but i totally love this truck
i got a supercab xlt with the chrome package, 18" chrome clad wheels, 5 inch step bars exc... with the 5.4 FFV engin
the truck is super quiet and has plenty of power for me...i'm going to put an edge on it but thats because i can't keep my hands off of the truck but other than that i'm 100% satisfied...
3000 off til april 2nd if you want to consider getting one sooner. as far as persons saying it quiet or super quiet, it is for a truck. i usually refer to the new f150 as the lexus of trucks. it handles very nicely for truck, too. i want to put some cheap tires on my truck for a minute just to see how nice and make sure it's just not the michelin's, but that isn't practical. my only gripe with the truck has been a couple of cosmetic things, like the bed being taller than i want, but i knew that going in. the fx4 package is gonna cost you, but i keep reading and hearing stories, that the higher trim packages have alot more leeway to talk down the price. the guy i'm working with this week got a lariat down from 38 g's to 23 g's. he had the xplan to help too.

I think there may be a body change with the 08-09 might be wothr waiting for.
I personally hate getting the last run of something, I always wait for the new fresh look.
I unloaded my problematic 2004 5.4 SCrew on a 2007 4.6 SCrew in December. The truck is great except that the `07 seat bolstering is a bit different, and I find it not as comfy as the `04. The `07 has more engine growl, but that's a good thing in my book.
I broke my own rule of never buying the first year of a redesign with my 2004, and won't ever do it again...
If you wait till late in the production life of a vehicle to purchase, the bugs have been worked out and you generally get a better deal since they're offering more incentives to make it look attractive against newer designs. Downside is the depreciation hit is huge if you trade in a couple years or total the vehicle in an accident, since the new bodystyle has seriously depressed the value of the older style.
I have had my 07 F150 Scab 4x4 for about 2 weeks, and i love it, it is the best truck i have had. WHen i bought the truck the MSRP price was 33,000 and i got a 3,000 rebate 3500 for my old truck so i ended up pay 26680 for my 07 F150.
I've had mine about 3 weeks, so far so good. It's an 07 screw 4x4 xlt 5.4 w/ 6.5 bed & some factory goodies. My old truck was a 99 GMC Sonoma ext cab 4x4, so the 07 is like a caddy in comparison plus it's my frist ford vehicle. No complaints so far other than mushy brakes which the dealer is looking at Thrusday. I have a Xcal2, 3" Air force1 and a Rouche exhaust on the way. The 5.4 has plenty of power but I'm going to pep it a bit just for the fun of it.
I drove off the lot for $31,233, options: 5.4FFV, 4x4, power seat, power pedals, backup sensor, tow package, electric rear slider, free 6mo Siruis satellite, 3.73 rear end & 4" tube running boards.
Well I’ve had my truck for about 2 months now and in that time I’ve pulled all sorts of trailers, left it in the wind at -20F, gotten it stuck twice, pulled cars and minivans, taken it through ditches, road trips and destroyed the driver door (that one wasn’t me) and its taken it all without a single complaint. I’d say it’s the best truck I’ve ever owned as far as ability and ride quality. I got it for about $35,000 with a bedliner and such.
Got mine last month. Rides about the same as my old 03 FX4 Scab 5.4 3.55 17" Wheels. Got leather seats which seem a little harder than the 03 cloth. But are still pretty comfortable. Love the power pedals and the Sirius Radio. Will probably purchase before the free period runs out. More punch than the 03 2V 5.4, probably because of the 3.73, old one had 3.55. Not sure about mileage yet, only got 1500 miles. Having a magnaflow installed tomorrow to replace the stock muffler, which will probably be the only mod I'll go with. Have no plans on chipping or an CAI. Pulled our 4800 lb (wet)hybrid travel trailer last week. The 3.73 definitely pulls the RV better than the old 03 did with the 3.55. I guess the extra 40 HP and the 3.73 made the difference. Love the new body style. Wife loves the 07 much more than the old 03 FX4. So far I am tickled to death with it. Personally I think the 04's up are the best looking trucks Ford has came out with. I am sure you will be pleased with yours. I guess my only complaint would be the lack of storage space. The big woofer under the rear seat takes up a lot of room. I think that is what it is. Never had a radio as fancy as this one before.
I have had my STX Supercab for 2 weeks and have 1100 miles on her. I drive it for work so the mileage is going to add quickly. I think it just started getting past the initial break in today. The 4.6l engine is starting to feel more responsive. The truck handles and looks like a dream. Once I add a few chrome pieces, tuner, and exhaust I will be very happy.
I have my 07 SCREW 4x4 for about two months now, no problems, handles great, rides great. It felt a little week out of the box and I put a K&N 63 on it. It surely seems more peppy, but I have NO numbers to support improved performance. I am likely to do the exhaust at some point(a quiet one).
Lariat package w/tri-metallic paint was 39,500.00. Paid 32,995.00 with no dealer ripoff's that saved close to another grand. If you get the Lariat package, make sure it has limtted slip diff.

Man, I wish I got that much off MSRP. I got $2k off and a good intereset rate and I thought I did good. How did you get $6500 off of MSRP? Did you also get one of the promotional finance rates or did you pay cash? I'm just curious so next time I get a better deal.
