Mileage update

2nd fillup and I got 11.0 MPG. With the two fills, I'm averaging 10.7 MPG. Motor has 600 miles on it.

F350 4x4 dually LWB 4.10 rear-end

Do you think the mileage would go up if you put larger tires on it? In theory, with a 35 or 37 inch tire and the 4.10 gears, it would be similar to driving a truck with stock tires and 3.73 gears.

Bigger tire increase mileage? We all wish for that. The trouble with the larger tires is the greater weight that must be overcome to get the vehicle rolling and the larger contact pattern on the road. More contact equals more friction. Now if you could install a 40" bicycle tire on a SuperDuty, that might increase your mileage.
