Brakes, RABS, lockups

88 302 with rabs. Rear brakes will lockup periodically, everything been replaced BUT the rabs system. Anyone know if we can just yank the ABS fust in the panel? I just did it and my bronco sure does stop quicker but appears to drive in the front..... does it disable the rear brakes all together?

Brakes, RABS, lockups

[updated:LAST EDITED ON 22-Sep-02 AT 08:53 PM (EST)]By pulling the fuse I would think you probably have the brake warning light on all the time. The easier way to disable it is to disconnect the sensor on top of the rear diff.

When you shift the tcase to 4X4 it automatically disables your RABS, so you could also look for the switch that does that & see if you can jumper it somehow to fool the RABS computer.
