Effie, your truck would defiantly be in there, whether you wanted it to or not lol.
And snow I think you know what I think of your 49. It may not be show quality yet, but Id definatly vote for it being in there!
I agree who cares if they are not show quality yet they are still good enough to be calenders i have a calender throughtout the year so if i got one i would be happy waking up and looking at that everyday i really think we should do it maybe summer time...
Yeah it would have to be done then we could find some cool places to take them at maybe the trucks posing in the field or something heh a cool background indeed
I love the idea i think we should do it sooner or later...
I personally like this idea alot especially 66gpw's. There's nothing I like better than looking in an old barn and finding an old truck. Normally you can;t buy em so I end up with a picture.
There's problem with a venture like this, and it's the amount of cash and work normally nails the coffin shut. I've been thinking about it and wondered if we should start off small. As it stands most of the folks are worried if they trucks/cars whatever are of show quality. Then we don;t know if we have the money or if it will be supported so why don't we start with a gallery version. It's cheap, it allows people to upload whatever they want plus it will atleast get everyone rides in one spot.
Maybe I'm getting off topic a bit but bear with me. I envison something like a Man / Sask gallery site where we can all post our ride(s) and list our names beside them. Maybe make it a sticky at the top of the forums "welcome to the Man/Sask members rides". I know that we can all have our personal galleries but lets face it there are a lot of members and I have looked at most of your galleries but my memory is short which means that when I think of "preppy" I don;t remember his truck as much as his "Homer" avatar.
I'm not sure how you would swing this FOM but its an idea that will get us started. We need computer guru's to step in. Maybe as leader you host the gallery and we add to it? If it flops at this stage we have saved ourselves alot of work. If it takes off then we could look into the next step of printing costs for the real deal?
Does anyone remember the column at the back of hotrod or other mags called "readers rides". This is what gave me the idea.
That is a great idea there truckfarmingcanuck Where we can all put our trucks in and pic which ones we want to print as a calendar. That way we can make our own calendars for at home also. This way members can also vote which trucks to use for making a calendars. I like the idea of having FTE calendars. Could start a collection of them.
If we do get someone to print them, maybe us members can all chip in $10.00 tothe costs to get them made. We could be starting something here that the other chapters will soon follow.
