98 expy...need help bad

i just replaced all coil packs.....now, the engine light has come on. when the expy is at park, the idel jumps to nearly 2000 rpms and then comes to rest at about 1100 rpms. every now and then, it will drop to about 500 rpms but never dies on me. drives fine and all but even whn i drive and come to a red light the idel stays at 1100 rpms. when i go to put the car in par from drive position, it will jump up to 2000 rpms and then slowly come to a rest again at 1100?
is this going to cost a fortune to fix and is it something i can do....the coil packs were a pain in the ****....especially the ones in the back...
any help is greatly apprciated!

Welcome.

Since your light is on, have the code read at an Autozone, then proceed from there.

Trying to diagnose without a code can lead to an expensive fix. Find a parts store with a scanner and have the code read. It could be MAF sensor, IAC, EGR, TPS, COP's, vacuum related, etc.
