12.5 - that's what I'm getting. Back in the Fall, I was getting 13.4 - I figured the cold weather and warming idle time in the mornings, accounted for the drop.
2nd gear at 5000 RPM = 4.6 mpg
And if you had reset it going down hill on the interstate at 65 mph in 'N', you would have been getting 78 mpg (I know, I've done it).
The computer shows an average - so just like in school, all it takes is one or two bad grades to drop your whole average...
NoMo,
Why don't y'all, at least, listen to me when I extend to you my wisdom? I know I'm not as purdy as Fred, and don't have as many years piled on me as Rich, and can't frame to speak aright the words of Krewat - but at least I have the guts to share it.
The little oval rings on the front of our trucks are for auto-hitching to those big rigs. Sure, they won't tell you that in the manual and, no, Ford won't show them in use on commercials and such, but just look at the way they're shaped. Just right for quick-hitch/quick- release.
I bet y'all don't believe in Bigfoot, either, huh?
I am thinking of buying a new V10 sd in fall what kind of mpg should I get pulling nothing with standard size tires.
Welcome to the site gbn!
First, I'd like to point out that this is not a serious MPG thread. Our trucks aren't this bad on average- just when the pedal is planted in the floor.

Bet you don't have a big red cape like Ken either!
