what would a F-250 and F-350 get for gas mileage. both extended cabs and 4x4 short boxes. if year matters probably a 2000 or 2001. im looking at them and dont know what one to get i found alot of 350's for pretty cheap but i dont really need one. thanks
It has been colder than normal here and short trips have gotten me down to 14.5.
You will get better fuel milage with a lighter truck so I would have to say a F-250 would be more efficient on the fuel. Usually F-350's have lower gears and heavy drivetrains that causes more consumption also.
All really depends on how much time you spend above 2k rpm. If I cruise at 68mph about 1950rpm I get over 19mpg. Flat terrain and warmer OAT's net mpg over 20. My truck gets very thirsty at the higher rpm's
