Yes, just dont use the off road diesel with the dye in it. if you get stopped and the troopers dip your tank it is a hefty fine. eventually all fuel will be ULSD but there are some areas that still have the LSD.

ok your truck is designed and needs to run on #2 diesel. both LSD and ULSD are types #2, LSD can be used in any truck up till the new emissions model vehicles after the 07 MY emission it has to be ULSD. ULSD can be used in any diesel engine but it is suggested that an additive be added for lubrication purposes even though they claim that it's been added by the oil companies, I don't trust it enough to figure thats enough.

From what I have read, ulsd is all that is in production and the only reason that the pump doesn't say that it is is because the gas ststion would of had to have the tanks emptied and cleaned, or they have to run so many gallons of usld through to make sure that the Lsd was all flushed out.

You can also run BioDiesel. I have been going through quite a bit of B99 lately.

I've got a local station still selling LSD. I try to avoid it.

As you start to use ULSD it will clean your tank up a bit and many people have noticed that their fuel filters are clogging quicker. This process took me 3 filters in 6k mi before my mileage leveled out. After you have experienced this it would be wise to stick with the ULSD to avoid excessive costs related to fuel filters.
