Half way there with the Dash *****!

Thanks for the help brown 4x4 and Mil1ion. I was able to take the headlight **** off in about 10 seconds! But now i'm having trouble with the Wiper ****. When I depress the **** to take the tension off the spring I can't see the area of the **** with the spring. It's hidden by my dash panel. I tried to crawl under the dash and have found the motor but it hide's the back of the **** as well. Any tips?

Thanks!!

[updated:LAST EDITED ON 01-Oct-02 AT 09:42 PM (EST)]Can you rotate the **** (turn the wipers on) so the notch is easier to get at? Then just pull the spring towards you and the **** will pull right off.

I got it!!! Thanks!!! This is a little more work than I thought it would be - not hard work, but still more than I thought. I've got the instrument cluster out with the exception of the speed-o cable. Now i've got to buy 12 new lights for the panel - by the way - do you know of any way to change the color of the green display?

Thanks,!!

Half way there with the Dash *****!

For a **** removal tool,I bent the end of a small screwdriver into a 90* angle which made it a lot easier

Some one already posted what to do.
You could change the colour of the bulbs
I know that make transparent paint in different colours.

Also, When you are updating a thread, use the same thread as oppose to starting a new one.
It confuses people and it is nice for someone else coming along to follow it completely without having to jump all over the place.

Great! Thanks!!

I thought that my bulbs may have been burnt out because of how dim my cluster is - but I just found out that all my bulbs are fine. Now i've got to figure out another solution. Right now I can barely see my speedometer.
