351 true duals

351 true duals
All right I have a 92 f 150 with a 351 i want to run true duals with no cats and no mufflers can anyone give me an idea as to how it will sound?! Will I feel any more power or will i lose? I am new to the truck scene and have not owned a truck until 3 days ago!

hey,
i have a 89 f-150 with a 351. the truck has hooker headers and 2.5 inch true duals. i have two 11inch mini cat and 28 inch glasspacks. the truck is pretty loud like this. i'm sure if you went without cats and without mufflers it would sound awesome!

It will sound SWEET! Go from a set of long tube headers(flowtech, headman, whatever you like) into a set of 18" magnaflow muffers and into some longish 4" tips. Use 2.25" pipe all the way through. Trust me, you WILL be happy.

It will be very loud without cats or mufflers.
You may loos some bottom end torque but will pick up a little power in the top end.

got it done
LIke i said i got a 92 f-150 i put true duals on it,with no cats no mufflers or glasspacks. Well i got the exhaust done and it is just what i wanted but it might be just a little too loud i think the cops might be after me for it. I dont have a lot of room under the truck so what can i do to quit it down just a bit! My wife suprisingly likes the way it sounds. Tell me what you think

You could put a set of mufflers on it.
I have high flow cats and Flowmasters on my truck and it very loud.
So with no cats and mufflers it will still be loud but the mufflers will quite it down some.
