egr plate??
can i take my egr plate off and put my carb back on? i want to get rid of all that emissions crap. i have a lot of vaccume hoses i would like to clean up under my hood. i want to also take the canister and collector out of my truck. can anyone help me out with this? any suggestions? and i think my oil sender is bad and leaking. do i have to replace the whole thing or a gasket, or do i just have to tighten it up?

You sure can, mine ran like ***** when I initially removed it, so installed a 1" carb spacer to put it back up where it was. Worked like a champ.
Make sure you plug the fittings anywhere you remove the vaccum lines.
The sending unit is threaded in, probably just needs tightened up, or a little thread tape.
