So.........I have these two trucks, but they are in another state, well....... about 120 miles north of me. To make a real long story just a little bit shorter, we purchased our new home in southern Utah, it has an acre of land and all, and well a great big shop (not as big as the garagemahal) but big enough. So my trucks are up there, and all of my tools and shop equipment and that kind of stuff. We haven't been able to sell our home here (Vegas) the market is soft and all that. So.......its like I have "Visitation Rights" to go up and see the trucks every other weekend. I check on the property and all, do a little clean up around the place, and then it is down to my work clothes and work boots till all hours of the night, puttin time in on the trucks. I'm not complainin, you know, just seems as if when you can only see your truck every other weekend, well, you know, kinda like you just have "Visitation Rights"
So, this is my weekend, I'm leaving here in about an hour or so and will be back Sunday nite. Have a great weekend all!!!!! Get much accomplished
and be sure to post your stories right back here, cause I love a good story, especially one with a good endin. What could possibly be bad about workin on your ol truck?
Wow, that must be tough. Look on the bright side, you have a ready made excuse for not getting anything done. The rest of us have to come up with lame stories about why we didn't do anything for weeks on end...
..well, it was like this see, I was out under the truck and there was this, uh, er huge crash outside, yeah, thats right a huge crash with lights and smoke and everything. Then as I rolled the creeper out from under the truck I heard weird filly-floppy feet comingup the drive and I saw this uh....er...um, I saw this, well monster see. Yeah monster it was huge with one great green eye and fangs and lots of mangy purple hair all over and, well........uh.........
See what I mean. Its alot easier to be able to say; I would have had that engine out and overhauled this weekend and probably been able to get the 4 link hooked up in the rear if only I didn't have to drive 4 hours to get to the truck.
Good luck with it. Hopefully it won't last forever and you'll be faced with the headache of having to move everything at the spur of the moment when the 2nd house finally sells.
