Front bumper questions
What is the painted piece that looks sorta rectangular that surrounds the front grille insert called?? i want to replace it with chrome. any suggestions where one might find one??
also, do you guys find it a fubar on fords part to paint the front end? you cant stop the rock chips, bug guts etc. from tearing up the paint

I'm going to guess it's just called the grille surround.

I don't think you can get just the chrome surround by itself from Ford. A junkyard, maybe.
Yes, painted bumpers on a truck make no sense to me either. I went with a monotone Lariat vs. a two tone FX4 partly to get the chrome bumpers.
