Temp problem! help pls!

hi, mi truck ussually the temp guage reaches the N of normal on the tem gauge ans stay there no mather what! bu these days its reaching the R on the normal of the temp guage....:S so is it the thermostat? or water pump is getting weak?
any ideas? thanks!!

and another thing when the temp gage passes the N of normal on the temp guage the tranny starts acting funny ... its like its locking.. and somethimes it even kills the engine!!..
is it the VSS sensor??
or any ideas? thanks!

maybe your tranny is overheating causeing it to heat the water in tha radiator,
maybe the reason your tranny acts up????

why is it overheating? whe just did a full oil change and filter change a month ago :S

Okay then check your radiator water if it has black soot in it it might mean you have
a head gasket blown out or starting to go.
Or your tranny is overheating it could be heating the water in your radiator as the
tubes from your tranny run through the radiator.

the truck has the trans cooler in front of the radiator .... so i dont think its the trans..
and the water is clean :S so wierd problem

i think is the waterpomp! beacuase its sounding like a pump without grease :S and my buddies dodge did the same thing and the water pump sounded just like that ..
