please help 93 5.0 eddie baurer is killing me

Well where do I start. I bought the truck in late o4 with 51k on it I now have 82k and so far have replaced the starter twice, the starter solinoid, and the cables from the battery to the solinoid to the starter. Then the fuel pump went, then the waterpump, then the oil pan gasket. Now my problem is when Im going 30 mph or higher and I have my foot lightly on the gas just trying to keep up my speed the truck shakes and bangs like it is running out of gas. When I step on it it stops, and the truck does not run bad at all when Idleing. Please help me before I drive this thing off of a cliff. Thankyou

yeah, first job. CHECK FOR CODES!

Once you have that you'll have a cat in hells chance of pin pointing the problem without changing everything else first.

www.fordfuelinjection.com will show you how to pull codes using a paper clip and 15mins of your time.

also check fuel pressure at the rail and timing with spout connector removed.

Even with all the problems it's in your blood now and if you get rid of it you'll regret it. What will you do with your time? Once you pull the blink codes write 'em down and post 'em for us, we'll go from there.

'94 Bronco won't start -- please help.

I feel your pain. I bought this Bronco for my daughter when she went to college now I live under it and she is driving my Toyota. My wife has forgotten what it was like when I was of sound mind. So far, I've replaced the starter, removed the top and replaced all the seals (it leaked when it rained) including around the windshield, , thermostat, added exhaust system, shocks, air conditioning compressor, new window motors, clutch fan, battery, and now it won't start and I just replaced the coil, distributor cap, rotor, wires, plugs. I don't know what to do from here as it has fire and fuel but doesn't start.

You need air, fuel, and spark to make a gas engine go boom. The only factor is timing of the mixture in the cylinder. If it ran before a fix check everything you just did to it.

Thanks for all the help so far I going to try to pull codes this weekend. Just one question does anyone know what mechanically could cause this. Whether it would be the trans not keeping up with the engine or a bad injector something like that. Only asking because with the luck that I have had with this truck it will probably be a major mechanical problem. Thanks

"when Im going 30 mph or higher and I have my foot lightly on the gas just trying to keep up my speed the truck shakes and bangs like it is running out of gas"

When warmed up and under those conditioons I think the charcoal cannister purge selenoid opens . A little roughness may be commmon because the designers do not know how much fuel vapors are in the charcoal. Thus it may run a little lean for awhile while it keeps the air clean for all of us. I tested the selenoid and found it was stuck open. Codes did not show it. Replacement helped along with plugs and timing at 12 btdc.
