4WD Problem

I've got a 94' Bronco with push button 4WD and twice when I have shifted into low range I have been unable to get out of low range. It was the same scenario each time; the 4WD and Low Range lights would flicker and it was impossible to send a signal to the motor. I am suspect that maybe the electric motor is getting hot because both times when the truck was allowed to sit overnight I was able to get the truck out of low range. I don't recall this ever happening when being in 4 high, just 4 low. Any thoughts??

I've had the exact same thing happen to me once. It hasn't happened again.

4WD Problem

Rule of thumb when dealing with things electronically assisted...its probably electronic failure somewhere. Heat is a big factor as is moisture. Check wiring for signs of deterioration from either. i.e. melted connectors, copper oxide (green scale crap) on connector contacts etc.. If the problem goes away after letting it sit. Its either cooling down or drying out.
