That sounds awsome Ed,
Is that Ecology yard one that you can actually go scrounging in? They do let you past the gate at the one out here for "liability" reasons. Thats why I usually end up going to Pick-a-Part instead. It'd be cool to find some new parts sources though especially with the old truck in ICU right now.

Chris, we could do a junkyard visit on a Saturday. I know a fellow who runs a family owned yard which has been in business since the 1920's. There are more old truck parts there than just about anywhere else. Some stuff is NOS..like 57/60 panel truck taillamps. This is a closed yard normally, meaning not many people get past the front counter. The place is huge. I've dealt with them since 1967.

I took members of a local Ford affilated club thru there several years ago. No one went home disappointed.

The parts mostly date from the 50's and later. From F100's to C/F/LN 1000's is there.

Ecology is a pick-your-part yard. The one I made reference to above is not. But they dismantled trucks for years, so there's 100,000's of parts in bins, stacked up, hanging from rafters.
