Excuse me if this has been discussed, was wondering on thoughts of how the Fairlane will look? I've read that it will go into production now the question remains will they keep the boxy look or will it look more like a Freestar? I'm personally hoping to see the boxy brick look!
Latest I heard was about a month ago or so. A Ford spokesperson said the production Fairlane will look somewhat different than the concept that was shown at the Detroit Auto Show last year.
Ford must really be keeping the Fairlane under wraps. I tried searching for photos of it on the web and found nothing, except photos of the concept like the one above. If it's coming out next year, you'd think ford would've let a little of the cat out of the bag. Just a little taste to see what the public thinks.
A while back I was hoping Ford would reintroduce the Fairlane, but as an intermediate V8 coupe/sedan like it was back in the 60's. Performance oriented, but still a people mover. That picture of the box as posted above is an abomination
It will be called the Flex and Ford will unveil it at the New York Auto show on April 4th. Apparently from what I've read they are going to keep it looking close to the concept, I hope so I do love the boxy look.
