Question Dashboard Lightshow

Hello All,
I am having a peculiar problem with my wife's '99 Exp, 5.4l, A4WD. More and more lately, the oil pressure and temp dummy light keeps coming one. When it does, the oil pressure needle drops all the way to low, but the temp needle stays where it should. After a while (few seconds...a minute...) everything goes back to normal. There has never been a time where the check engine light has come on. I really think it is something electrical and not physical. Any ideas on what to check or where to start? As far as I can tell, the windshield doesn't leak, so I doubt it is the GEM (from what I've read).
Thanks. Your help is greatly appreciated.

The oil pressure switch is going bad. Replace that and all will be good again.

Ok, I am pretty embarrassed by this, but I will take one for the good of the forum. It was out of oil.......

I never checked it because I just didn't think that my truck was using oil like that. Guess it's time to keep checking it.

Whoops!
